Wow! This math program encourages critical, strategic, and even creative thinking! I love the use of games, manipulatives, and even music.
As an interesting note, my children are half Mayan, and one unexpected benefit of the RightStart program is that it fits in well with Mayan math! Both systems are heavily based on grouping by 5s (for instance, the number 9 in Mayan is written with a bar, which equals 5, next to 4 dots). My children (ages 7 and 4) are enjoying exploring these connections. And they are loving math overall!
