Description

The RS2 Level C Lessons incorporate an easy-to-teach format and continue to advance and develop the child’s conceptual understanding of critical math concepts. Place value is addressed to 10,000 in expanded and standard formats. 4-digit written and 2-digit mental addition and subtraction is taught. Multiplication up to 10 x 10 is presented as arrays and facts to 5 x 5 are mastered. Problem solving and its many approaches are woven throughout the program. Time to the minute and money are taught. Measurement in metric and US Customary are both used with area and perimeter. Geometry and geometric terms are used. Fractions up to 1/10 are understood.

These lessons continue to build on known addition and subtraction facts. They also work with drawing tools to explore geometric designs. Problem solving is emphasized. Card games are included in the lessons. Review lessons are included for children new to the RightStart™ program.
